Seven Seas Club, Columbia Plaza, Limassol, 2009

This is a state of the art live music club within the Columbia Plaza. It is on the second floor of the plaza complex and in the centre of the old city. To eliminate and avoid any noise pollution the steel structure and skin are made out of composite well insulated materials totally independent of the main structure of the rest of the building. Sun shades and double cavity glazing shade and cool the building during daytime. Microperforated transparent acoustic blinds cover the glazing internally and the ceiling panels were specially designed by our office and were locally made combined with the lighting systems and the loudspeaker configuration. The 200 person club has also within it a 15 person cinema and a cigar lounge. The low oval bar in the centre offers drinks without obstracting the elevated stage.
