Corner House, GSP area, Nicosia, 2010
One of the reasons why people preferred corner plots in the past was so they could maximise views and have verandahs by the road side where they could sit and watch the world go by. With our busy lifestyle nowadays tastes have changed and it is important to have more privacy within the home. For this reason we have enclosed this `L` shaped house with a courtyard stone wall. All the rooms face towards the courtyard reducing the distinction between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The attic floor is used as a study and guest room studio.
