This 600 sqm. seafront traditional seafood restaurant located in Limassol Bay looked at creating a comfortable outdoor dining area and at the same time efficiently planning the back of house kitchen areas to facilitate the high demand of the Amathus Hotel guests during the peak summer season.
The brief was to maximise the use of the prime site location which runs along the public waterfront, but at the same time creating subtle level changes to achieve a more private and intimate dining area for the guests. Inspired by marine architecture, the space is created around a timber feature wall which runs along the length of the site adjacent to sea, housing all the back of house areas such as kitchens, food storage rroms, staff rooms and toilets. The remaining space is covered by bespoke tensile PVC fabric canopies supported by steel arm like columns angled in such a way to work with the sunpath and create a cool and comfortable dining area.
