Courtyard Vila, Mosphiloti area, Nicosia
The two storey house on a corner site appears as a single level, placed on a plinth. This stone plinth conceals all ground floor activities from the public exposure to the street maximising privacy. The south facing open plan living, dining and kitchen level fully opens up towards an outdoor pool courtyard, blending the boundaries between interior and exterior space.
Large overhangs from the first floor and roof slab create ample natural shading and introduce cut outs with pergola inserts to allow partial natural daylight through.
