Cliff edge house Amathus, Limassol
This cliff edge house is designed to enjoy the sea view from every corner of its plan. The design emerged out of a skilful and careful exploitation of the limitations imposed by town planning and building regulations. The space visually extends towards the sea with a large terrace acting as an artificial beach that connects the sea with the long narrow infinity pool. Living areas enjoy deep overhangs and the roof, reminiscient of the upper deck of an ocean liner, providing outdoor garden area that was limited by the cliff edge geology. Simple forms and materials are chosen to suit local craftsmen and ensure future durability and maintenance.
